Symptoms of Hypertension
In majority of patients hypertension causes no symptoms. You may have hypertension for many years without you ever realizing it. That is why hypertension is called a silent killer. In minority of patients it causes symptoms that too vague and nonspecific.
Very high blood pressure may cause symptoms like
Headache - classically pain over back of the head
Blurring of vision
Giddiness
Fatigue/tiredness
Chest discomfort
Shortness of breath
Confused state
Palpitation
Bleeding from nose
Vomiting/nausea
